There's so much choice... and the choice is yours !
There's plenty to do in Auvergne, something for all tastes, from Horse Riding to Hang Gliding. We are always happy to provide more information on your favourite pastimes

Natures Playground The wide open spaces of Auvergne offer you the opportunity to get away form it all. Rambling is one of the most popular leisure activities in the region. Whether you want to explore with map and compass or follow the many marked and graded trails, you will find nature on your doorstep. You can begin many walks right from the door of "Les Sapins".
We have an equipment room for boots and clothing and can supply packed lunches if required.

Horse Riding in the Mountiains Discovering the region on horseback is a relaxing way to spend a day or two. Just three kilometers from Ambert the stables of 'La Criniére Dore', at Puvic, provide day and half day treks, initiation, and lessons. Why not try 'Equimobile' - drive your own cart through the forests of 'Col de la Loge' or be driven in a traditional wagon. We shall be happy to help you arrange any of these activities.

VTT Cycling, on or off road, is a great way to travel. If you are feeling energetic try Mountain Biking, known as VTT here in France. Ambert has its own VTT centre and we have a fleet of our own bikes for rental at preferential terms to our clients. Routes are many, very well marked and graded by the tourist authority. Our own equipment room provides safe storage for your machine and you can clean or work on your bike at any time. The roads are quiet, so no worries about touring with the family. The combination of cycling and breathing in the clean fresh mountain air is an exhilarating experience.

Hang Gliding and Para Gliding (initiation sessions available), Go-Karting, Fishing,
Bird Watching .......
the list goes on and on.
You certainly won't be bored during your stay in Auvergne

View from the terrace - Les Sapins "Take a Seat" - "Relax" - You may of course just prefer something a little less energetic. Sit on the terrace at " Les Sapins " with that book you've been meaning to read, pour yourself a glass of wine and just enjoy the magnificent view across the valley.
If you fancy improving your language skills during your stay enrol on to one of our Learn French in France weeks (advance booking required)
